Director - Amanda Herche
Amanda Herche is the Sr. Manager, Transformation Management Office at Lockheed Martin. She holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She recently joined the Lockheed Martin team where she is leveraging her background in the intersection between talent processes and the technology that enables them to continue to move LM into the future.
Prior to Lockheed Martin she was at FedEx Services for over 9 years. During that time she lead a team to execute a number of projects from the implementation of a new SaaS core HCM and talent platform (Workday) to the development and validation of selection processes, and a re-imagined performance management process. She is the winner of two Five Star Awards. Prior to FedEx, Amanda was an Organizational Development Consultant at Regions Financial Corporation where she focused on job analysis and competency modeling along with HR metrics, benchmarking, performance management process design and training effectiveness measurement.
Amanda resides in the Memphis area with her husband Al, a retired Navy Chief. In her spare time enjoys playing tennis, reading science fiction, and visiting her grown children in Nashville and Knoxville.

Program Chair – Ginger Whelan
Dr. Whelan has over 25 years consulting experience assisting organizations achieve their goals through custom designed people strategies. Her technical expertise and thought leadership has helped clients in a variety of settings including manufacturing, healthcare, hotel, casino, university, and insurance to increase productivity and retention of talent. Her expertise is creating and validating selection systems, interview skills training, employee engagement surveys and action planning, exit interviews, competency models, advancing a diverse and inclusive workplace, and performance evaluations. Her clients appreciate her collaborative approach to achieving their goals.
Membership Coordinator– Jerilyn Hayward
Dr. Jerilyn Hayward has 23 years of years of business experience in a variety of industries, working in an internal and external consultant capacity. She has extensive experience in Performance Management, Talent Management/Succession Planning, objective setting and alignment, competency modeling, 360 development and implementation, selection and assessment, employment law, survey development/analysis, coaching, and training development and evaluation. Jerilyn is a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a founding board member for the Memphis area I/O Psychologist professional organization (MIOP), and a board member for Shelby Residential and Vocational Services (SRVS). |
Communications Coordinators – Rorie Harris & Carissa Orth
Dr. Rorie Harris has 15 years of experience in I-O Psychology. She has extensive experience in the area of Performance Management, with particular expertise related to the development and implementation of performance management processes, survey development and analysis, and goal setting and alignment. Rorie earned her Ph.D. from The University of Memphis. In addition to a membership with MIOP, she is also a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. |
Carissa Orth is an Organizational Development Advisor at FedEx Services. She is responsible for providing support on selection tools, resources, training, and assessments. Before joining FedEx Services, she worked in state government where she helped develop and implement competency-based performance management and selection tools, training programs, as well as employee survey development and analysis. Carissa received her master's degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Along with being a member of MIOP, she is also a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
